WINDER Ken Alma, Jared and Maia would like to express their deep gratitude to all family, friends, work colleagues, fellow Funeral Directors and neighbours for all their support, love and kindness shown to us all during this surreal time. Alma's thanks for the many flowers and cards received and the wonderful words included. She knew he was the best but so lovely to know everybody else thought so too. My grateful thanks to Andrew, Mark Willacy, Continental Landscape and SLDC for all their help and perseverance with the vault. My thanks to Michele and staff at Newsquest, Doctors and staff at Station House Surgery, The District Nurses for keeping an eye on Ken with phone calls and regular "pop ins", Joanna for all the work she put into the service sheets and especially Revd. Ashley Henderson and all friends and wardens at Kendal Parish Church for helping give Ken a memorable service under such difficulties. Thank you to Richard and the Fire Service for the escort to the church with the engine behind and for the Guard of Honour at the church. Ken would have been truly proud. Finally Thank you Lord for the wonderful spring day, which seemed to come out of nowhere, and for giving me the strength to make the service, even with the restrictions, one Ken would have wanted.
