SESTON Jean Barbara 20/02/1931 15/05/21 Born in Chesterfield in Derbyshire, moved to Natland, near Kendal in 1966 when she was appointed teacher of Biology at Dallam School (now known) in Milnthorpe. She went on to be Deputy Head and later Acting Head for an interim period before she retired. Jean was married to the late Alan Dennis Seston who worked as an English lecturer and head of department in business and general education at Kendal College. After living in Natland for over fifty years she moved to a care home in July 2019 Sunrise in Cheshire near her niece Ann and family where she died peacefully after a short illness. Jean was a keen musician and played the violin as well as the organ. She very much enjoyed classical music and going to concerts and had a particular fondness for composer and violinist Andre Rieu. She very much enjoyed travelling abroad and in later life trips around Britain and of course the Lakes. She also enjoyed photography as well as spending time with her family and friends. There will be a private service at Natland Church attended by friends and family. Donations can be made to the British Heart Foundation in her memory. Enquiries c/o Fishwicks Funeral Service.
