PUBLIC PATH NOTICE THE LAKE DISTRICT NATIONAL PARK AUTHORITY

PART OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH 512054 AT TARN HOWS, CONISTON PARISH

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2020 NOTICE IS GIVEN that under Section 14(1) of the RoadTraffic Regulation Act 1984, the Lake District National Park Authority has made an order dated 28 January 2020. The effect of the order is to prohibit all public traffic for all purposes from proceeding over Footpath 512054 in Coniston Parish, on the western shore of Tarn Hows from SD 3271 9978 to NY 3308 0035, to enable works to extract trees with Phytophthom mmorum infection. The notice and plan showing the route concerned may be inspected during normal office or opening hours at the National Park Authority Offices, Murley Moss, Oxenholme Road, Kendal, LA9 7RL; at South Lakeland District Council, South Lakeland House, Lowther Street, Kendal, LA9 4D0j and at Coniston Tourist Information Centre, Ruskin Avenue, Coniston, LA21 8EH; and is also available online at

www.lakedistrict.gov.uk/

vislting/thlngstodo/ rowupdates/rowdosures. The order will take effect on 3 Feburary 2020 and will continue in force for six months but it is expected that works will be completed and the path reopened after two weeks. When works are taking place, signs will be erected showing the closed path and the alternative route. The path will be accessible as normal other than on these days. If the works have not been completed it may be extended for a further period with the approval of the Secretary of State. Authority Solicitor, 28 January 2020
