Notice ID: BRA1989403
Changes to the England Coast Path between Calder viaduct and Seascale promenade
A call for representations and objections.
Natural England has been asked by the government to establish a continuous walking route around England's coastline. As part of this programme, our variation report describing proposed changes to the approved route between Calder viaduct and Seascale promenade is published on Wednesday 17th February 2021. Representations and objections on the proposed changes can now be made and must be received by Natural England no later than midnight on Wednesday 14th April 2021.
The Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs will then make a decision about the report when all representations and objections have been considered. Establishment of the new access arrangements will not be completed until that decision is made. How to make a representation or objection:
Representations can be made by any person, while objections can only be made by owners and occupiers of affected land. Both must be made on the correct forms supplied by Natural England.
Copies of the report and forms are available from Natural England's website at:
public-access-to-the-coast
As required by regulations, we will make available a copy of the proposals
at our Kendal or Penrith office for inspection, but by prior appointment only.
If such access is requested, and as a preference, we will offer to send out
a printed copy of the proposals instead (taking into account current Covid
restrictions). Please contact Natural England with any such request, as below.
