THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (C5067 PADDY LANE, NEAR KENDAL AND C5083 MOORTHWAITE LANE, BARBON) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2021

THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (C5067 PADDY LANE, NEAR KENDAL AND C5083 MOORTHWAITE LANE, BARBON) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2021
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable United Utilities to carry out installation and connection works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following lengths of road:
1. C5067 Paddy Lane, near Kendal, from its {unction with the CS066 Old Sedbergh Road, extending in a southerly direction for a distance ofapprox. 104m.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the C5067 Paddy Lane, A685, C5068 Docker Lane, C5068 Kinn Road, US300 Dickgate Road and the A684.
Duration: From 12 July 2021 for approx. 10 days (Ref: SLC2I/24)
2. C5083 Moorthwaite Lane, Barbon from a point approx. 200m south west of its junction with the C5082, extending in a southerly direction for a distance of approx 100m. Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the C5083 Moorthwaite Lane, U5392 and the C5082.
Duration: From 22 July 2021 for approx. 3 days (Ref: SLC2I/25)
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
(i) Apply to emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties; and
(ii) Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and
(iii)Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the roads, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the roads; and
(iv)Apply to vehicles being used in connection with the Works. Any queries to the Highways Hotline 0300 303 2992 or email

The Order will come into operation on 12 July 2021 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as stated above and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
