BRIDLEWAYS IN GRIZEDALE FOREST, CHAPEL HOUSE
PLANTATION, BROUGHTON MOOR, WHINLATTER FOREST AND WYTHOP WOODS
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2021 NOTICE IS GIVEN that under Section 14(1) of the RoadTraffic Regulation Act 1984, the Lake District National Park Authority has made an order dated 15 November 2021. The effect of the order is to prohibit public traffic for all purposes from proceeding over footpaths and bridleways at Grizedale Forest, Chapel House Plantation, Broughton Moor, Whinlatter Forest and Wythop Woods in the parishes of Above Derwent, Broughton West Colton, Coniston, Hawkshead, Lorton, Staveley-in-Cartmel, Satterthwaite and Wythop, because of danger to the public from fast moving vehicles during motor sports events. The notice and plans showing the routes concerned may be inspected during normal office or opening hours at the National Park Authority Offices, Murley Moss, Oxenholme Road, Kendal, LA9 7RL; at South Lakeland District Council, South Lakeland House, Lowther Street, Kendal, LA9 4DQ; and online at

. The order will take effect on 00:01 on 3 December 2021 and will continue in force for six months but will only be in effect for three days within the six months period: for 24 hours, midnight to midnight (Grizedale East) on Friday

4 December 2021 (Grizedale West, Chapel House) and Saturday 12 March 2022 (Grizedale West Broughton Moor, Wythop & Whinlatter). All the routes will be accessible as normal other than on these days.
