PARISH TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2021
NOTICE IS GIVEN that under Section 14(1) of the RoadTraffic Regulation Act 1984, the Lake District National Park Authority has made an order dated S January 2022. The effect of the order is to prohibit all public traffic for all purposes from proceeding over a section of bridleway through The Cross at Dale Park, Grizedale between SD 3512 9415 and the road at 5D 3548 8405, to enable felling and extraction of timber. The notice and plan showing the route concerned may be inspected during normal office or opening hours at the National Park Authority Offices, Wayfaring House Murley Moss, Oxenholme Road, Kendal, LA9 7RU at South Lakeland District Council, South Lakeland House, Lowther Street Kendal, LA9 4D0j and at Hawkshead TIC, Main Street Hawkshead, Cumbria LA22 ONS; and online

The order will take effect on 14 January 2022 and will continue in force for six months but the work is expected to only take just over two months, as and when the signs are displayed. When works are taking place, signs will be erected showing the closed path and the alternative route. The path will be accessible as normal other than on these days. If the works have not been completed it may be extended for a further period with the approval of the Secretary of State. Authority Solicitor, 5 January 2022
