South Lakes solicitors firm Progression is celebrating after receiving more than 200 applications for three recently advertised job openings.

The expanding firm, which has four offices across the South Lakes and Furness Peninsula, hopes to find a new commercial lawyer, private client solicitor and legal secretary to join its team of more than twenty.

Progression cites a combined and modern approach to recruitment as the reason for their success.

Anthony Smith, director, said: "Recruitment in Cumbria can be challenging as many people choose to work in city firms. However, in Cumbria we have an incredible work-life balance and as a firm our case load is just as demanding and interesting as the bigger city outfits.

"This time we approached our recruitment with a targeted social media campaign which ran alongside our usual channels. This concentrated effort paid dividends, to receive over two hundred applications is fantastic. Now comes the hard work of reading them all!"

Once chosen, the new additions will join Progression’s latest recruit, Private law solicitor Ben Lowe from Leeds, who was welcomed to the firm this month.

Ben said: "I was attracted to work in the area so I could enjoy the beautiful surroundings whilst building on my career at Progression, which is as forward-thinking and successful as any city law firm."
