It didn't matter to me that I had to do so much work in the beginning because the peace and quiet was worth all of the hard work. Before the sale, I found myself driving up to the cottage and just watching and listening to the birds and couldn't believe how special this place truly was. I still get amazed when I see the red kites flying over the fell. I have seen the most spectacular sunrises and sunsets and never realised how many stars can be seen due to no light pollution.
