From Keswick take the A66 east towards Penrith and after approximately five miles, having passed Threlkeld on the left, there will be a turning to the right signposted Guardhouse. This is a gated lane which leads down to the river and the property will be located on the right hand side a short distance up the hill after crossing the river. Alternatively, and perhaps more conveniently, proceed to the next right hand turning (just after the White Horse Pub) and having turned off the A66 immediately bear right down the hill and again cross the river and take the next right hand turning. Follow the single track road round until you reach the hamlet of Guardhouse, the property this time will be on the left hand side as you descend.
