"TREASURES of Ulverston, the Artistic Journey of Christopher Stones" is on show at Ulverston Art House, the town's new studio gallery, for three days, starting tomorrow (Friday, August 30, 2019).
The Brogden Street venue, next door to the Roxy Cinema, is offering a rare glimpse of the artist's "astounding body of work" focusing on two collections - burnt olives and unique landscapes.
Aged nearly 80, his paintings and drawings now fill his Ulverston house from top to bottom. He uses mixed media and unusual everyday materials to "make, scratch and flick marks onto his canvases".
