AWARD-winning comedian and bestselling author Sam Avery is in Ulverston tomorrow night (Friday) giving a preview of his new show before heading off on tour.

Aka The Learner Parent, Sam will be centre stage at the Laughing Penguin Events Comedy Mill gig performing his Toddlergeddon, where he delves into the hilarious trials of raising a toddler. A quick witted, gifted storyteller, Sam asks - among other things - "how do you raise a toddler with more attitude than Kanye West?"

Supporting Sam will be Anthony Young.

Anthony has travelled up and down the country and is a comedy club regular across the UK.

He was a North East New Act of the Year finalist and runner up in The Great Yorkshire Fringe New Comedian of the Year 2017.

The MC for the evening is the hilarious Ben Briggs who started doing stand-up comedy in 2008 and quickly established himself as one of the hardest working comedians in the country. In his first year he clocked up more than 120 gigs and made it to the final of The Hilarity Bites new act competition and won two Funhouse Comedy Gong Shows. His likeable stage presence and sharp material has made him in demand as an act and compere up and down the country and saw him reach the Final of the Midlands Comedian of the Year Award in 2011.

Ben has appeared at the Birmingham, Nottingham, Edinburgh and Leicester comedy festivals and debuted his first hour show, Solo Traveller in 2012 at the Leicester Comedy Festival to a sell out audience and great reviews.
