FIFTY years on and Wishbone Ash continue to tour and record high quality rock and next Tuesday, November 5, head for Bootleggers Bar at Kendal, with their 50th anniversary show, that takes the audience on a unique journey through their illustrious history.
Wishbone were at the top of their game in the early 1970s and pioneered twin lead guitars. One of the six string aces, Andy Powell, has been flashing up and down the fretboard of his Gibson Flying V with the various incarnations of Wishbone more or less ever since, performing the band's very distinctive mix of powerful yet melodic rock.
