THE organisers of a hugely popular festival which attracts thousands of people to Kendal each year have unveiled an 'adaptable' format for the 2021 edition of the event.
This year's Torchlight Carnival will see walking processions from four different areas of Kendal - different from the singular, larger procession that usually takes place - descend on Abbot Hall Park on the Friday.
Here, in the 'garden of delights', there will be illuminated structures, music and performances to enjoy across the weekend.
The popular street party in Kendal will return on the Saturday.
There will also be workshops to enjoy and stalls to browse.
It is hoped the adapted format - amid the ongoing pandemic - can still bring the familiar 'magic of Torchlight'.
The event will take place between September 24 and 26.
