JOHN and Edward Seymour are brothers with lives steeped in music. Both former cathedral choristers they lost their mum to pancreatic cancer in 2014. In celebration of her life they are performing a series of concerts during a four-day cycle across 200 Lakeland and Dales miles. The first performance of their Vaughan Williams' Songs of Travel and other English songs will be at Thornely Studio, Sedbergh, on Thursday, August 2 (7.30pm). The talented singers move on to Cartmel Priory to perform the day after (Friday, August 3) at noon, heading north to Nether Wasdale's St Michael's Church on the Saturday (August 4) for a 7.30pm show.
John and Edward conclude their pedal-powered programme of recitals in aid of Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund at Crosthwaite Church, Keswick, on Sunday, August 5 (7pm).
