AMBLESIDE and District Art Society's annual exhibition is always one of the must-see shows.
Definitely worth viewing, the 2018 exhibition features the work of Sally Kindness, Jennifer Moffat and Mandy Dorman as well as several emerging Lakeland artists.
The show demonstrates the diversity of talented Cumbrian artists who belong to the society.
Running until Sunday, October 28, at Ambleside Parish Centre, the exhibition is a striking and impressive mix.
A gifted painter, Sally Kindness is best known for her distinctive watercolour style, and her use of wet in wet colour washes.
Jennifer Moffat is also an impressive and adept artist with her mixed media pieces as is Mandy Dorman who creates vibrant oil paintings and distinctive ceramics.
Several exhibitors and members of the society also belong to the prestigious Lake Artists, including Marion Bradley, Christine Baines and Martin Tomlinson, three well respected heavyweights within the region's art world.
Ambleside and District Art Society began its creative life in 1974 and at the moment as nigh on 100 members of all abilities. New members are invited to join providing they live within a 10 mile radius of Ambleside.
The exhibition is open daily from 10am-5pm, except Sunday, opening instead at 10.30am with the last entry at 2.30pm.
Donations will be taken throughout the exhibition for local dementia services.
