RISING star of the arts world Daniel Cooper has a new solo exhibition running at Ulverston's Ford Park next month.

The Sky’s the Limit runs from April 9, and will feature exclusively signed limited edition prints by Daniel, including some new editions depicting the landscape from Ford Park and Hoad Hill.

The exhibition contains views from around the Lake District – a landscape often dominated by the dramatic and sublime happenings in the skies.

Having lived in Ulverston, Daniel often returns for new inspiration, focusing on the iconic Sir John Barrow Monument, which overlooks Ford Park.

He said there isn’t anywhere else like it: "If you think of hills and fells in Cumbria, one naturally finds themselves in the Lakes. Ulverston has its own well-trodden and much admired views from around Hoad Hill.”

Open 10am-5pm daily.

Ford Park, situated in the urban heart of Ulverston, is run by the registered charity Ford Park Community Group. Offering acres of beautiful green space, the park is well-loved and used by a variety of people. Visitors to Ford Park can enjoy open green space, a natural playground area, a nature trail, a kitchen garden, greenhouses, a plant nursery and a volunteer centre, which offers an inclusive volunteering programme. The community group also operates a bistro-café and functions area, managed as a social enterprise.

The Sky’s the Limit runs alongside Daniel's major solo show at Brantwood, Reflections of Imagination, which opens on June 8, and features works inspired by his residency last year at the former Coniston home of John Ruskin, is set to be one of the highlights of this year’s celebrations of the bicentenary of Ruskin’s birth.
