Punk leaders The Skids are to play Carlisle this summer, returning to The Brickyard almost exactly two years on from a powerhouse performance at the venue.
They are playing a host of big-name dates in June, including Newcastle’s 02 Academy, the Kelvingrove Bandstand in Glasgow and the Royal Albert Hall.
Formed in 1977, they had a series of influential singles, including The Saints Are Coming, Into The Valley, TV Stars and Sweet Suburbia.

The announcement of the date follows the news that another punk icon, former Stranglers frontman Hugh Cornwell, will be appearing at the Fisher Street club on November 13.
