CLARINETTIST Jack Horrocks will be centre stage for Hawkshead Music for a Summer Evening next Tuesday, June 18 (8pm).
Jack - who was principal clarinet with the outstanding Westmorland Youth Orchestra - will be joined for the Hawkshead Parish Church concert by one of the region's finest accompanists, Ken Forster. Jack won the Geoffrey Blake Award at the Keldwyth Award final and is studying at the Royal College of Music with, among others, Janet Hilton. The talented clarinet player has worked with a number of orchestras and ensembles and for the Hawkshead concert will perform pieces by Berlioz, Stravinsky, Poulenc and Brahms.
