LONDON band The Brute Chorus will bring their undefinable sound to Carlisle tonight (Friday), for what is set to be a cracking gig at The Brickyard. The four-piece blend alternative, garage and folk music with a mix of biblical stories, nursery rhymes and fairy tales and are only playing a few gigs outside their adopted home of London, where they are favourites at Amy Winehouse's hangout, The Hawley Arms. If you're intrigued, you can check out The Brute Chorus (pictured right) - aka James Steel, Nick Foots, Dave Ferrett and Matthew Day - for the very reasonable sum of £3. They should be a suitable warm-up before tomorrow night's sell-out Foals gig, also at The Brickyard.
