LOWNDS Dorothy Janette Mary (nee Standring) Of Grange-Over-Sands, died peacefully on 8th August 2022, aged 73 years at Boarbank Hall Nursing Home. Loving wife of the late Paul, adored cousin of Marjorie and her daughter Cathy, a special friend to Shirley and Sarah. The funeral service will take place at Cartmel Priory on Thursday 25th August at 11:30am. I have very fond memories of working with Dorothy at Barrow Sixth Form College. She was a lovely lady who genuinely cared for her colleagues and of course the students. The consummate professional but with a soft side too.
