A TEENAGE tourist suffered leg injuries after falling at Low Pike near Ambleside.
The boy, aged between 13 and 18 and from Hamburg in Germany, slipped while walking on the fell shortly after 2pm on Monday.
He was treated at the scene by Great North Air Ambulance medics and carried to a waiting helicopter by members of Langdale and Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team.
The Pride of Cumbria helicopter then flew him to hospital in Whitehaven for further treatment.
His condition was not serious.
