A CAMPAIGN to halt the decline of the wild grey partridge – once a familiar farmland bird – has been launched by the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust.
A ‘New Year Action Plan’ has been devised by the charity, which is appealing to farmers and gamekeepers to provide nesting and food for the ground-nesting birds.
