TICKETS for Elton John's surprise South Lakeland gig next summer go on sale tomorrow (Friday) from 9am.
Organisers are expecting massive demand with a crowd of over 12,000 expected at the Westmorland County Showground at Crooklands on June 14.
The Rocket Man, who has won an Oscar and Grammys as well as selling 200 million records, announced the date this week as part of his European tour.
In recent years, he has swapped huge stadiums for outdoor concerts in quirkier venues.
Next year's gig also sees him reunite with his original band which features Nigel Olsson on drums, Davey Johnstone on guitar, Matt Bissonette on bass, John Mahon on percussion, and Kim Bullard on keyboards.
A spokesman for Elton told the South Lakes audience to expect 'all his greatest hits'.
Tickets can be bought over the phone on the 24-hr credit card hotline 0844 847 2441 or 08448 24 48 24.
