THE live music line-up for Keswick Mountain Festival (KMF) has been unveiled, with chart toppers, foot stomping folk and a taste of Abba.

Against the dramatic backdrop of Derwentwater on May 20-21, Bjorn Again will take to the stage as headliners on the Friday, while Scouting for Girls and Toploader lead the line-up for the Saturday.

On the Friday night Liverpool funk outfit The Soul Rays will kick off the live music programme, followed by seven-piece ‘gypsy folkNroll’ band Holy Moly & The Crackers.

The Peatbog Fairies will then take to the stage, returning to the festival for the third time and promising another high tempo folk set.

Rounding off the Friday live music will be world renowned Björn Again, the cult phenomenon that has kept the Abba flame burning brightly on the live music scene for nearly 30 years.

Saturday’s set will start with Cumbrian folk musician Annemarie Quinn, returning to Keswick Mountain Festival for a third performance.

All female folk rock duo Sound of the Sirens will be next up on stage, followed by the wacky and impossible to label Thingumabob and Thingumajigs.

Next up will be Toploader, who have over 20 international chart hits to their name, including the UK top 10 single Dancing in the Moonlight.

Chart toppers Scouting for Girls will bring the Keswick Mountain Festival’s live music to a close. Since reaching number one with their eponymous debut album, Scouting for Girls have enjoyed a string of hit singles, including chart topper This Ain’t a Love Song and modern singalong classic She’s So Lovely.

Nicola Meadley, Keswick Mountain Festival director, said: “I can’t think of a better setting for live music than the Keswick Mountain Festival Village.

“We’ve chosen acts who we know will appeal to festival goers of all ages and bring new visitors to Keswick and the Lakes at the start of the summer, which is going to be so crucial to the area this year in particular.”
