A MONK who lives in a jungle cave helped to lead a meditation retreat for the Buddhist Group of Kendal (Theravada).
Venerable Maholava Ariyadhamma lives in a cave in Sri Lanka. He met the Kendal group in 2015.

Jacquetta Gomes, secretary of the group, said members were delighted to learn from him and hoped he would teach them again in future.
Venerable Pidiville Piyatissa, the head of Ketumati Buddhist Vihara [Monastery] in Manchester, led the retreat. He has taught the Kendal group since 1999.
