A NEW ticket machine is planned for Ulverston railway station by train company Arriva Rail Northern.
Plans have been lodged with South Lakeland District Council for the passenger waiting room of the Grade II-listed station. Its buildings date back to 1873, according to planning documents, and it was once home to Buffers nightclub.
Ulverston station serves travellers to Carlisle, Barrow-in-Furness and Preston via the Cumbrian coast, and Manchester Airport.
