AN 11-YEAR-OLD boy was taken to hospital after he slipped and hit his head on a rock while at a waterfall near Ingleton.
Clapham's Cave Rescue Organisation (CRO) was called on Saturday (June 9) at 6.38pm to Thornton Force near Ingleton.
The boy had slipped while entering the pool at the foot of Thornton Force and hit his head on a submerged rock.
He was treated by CRO members, a community responder and an air ambulance paramedic.
CRO was able to escort the boy a short way on foot for transfer by a CRO vehicle to Ingleton village.
From there he was taken by North West Ambulance Service for a check up in hospital.
