AN APP loyalty scheme designed to promote businesses’ special offers has launched in a Furness market town.

LoyalFree, a digital app, has been funded by Ulverston’s Business Improvement District (BID).

It is a multi-award winning phone app offering a digital loyalty scheme which aims to help businesses attract new customers by showcasing their offers, with reviews, images and more.

It pulls together all the vital information for an area, allowing users to benefit from using just one app for the whole of the UK.

Jason Nesbitt, who created the app from scratch, said: ‘Launching LoyalFree in Ulverston gives us a great opportunity to showcase the amazing variety of shops and events within Ulverston to new and returning visitors.

“We are really excited to engage the local businesses here and help them advertise their amazing businesses.’

The LoyalFree app will be officially introduced to the public during the town’s annual Another Fine Fest on June 16.

The app will be promoted with special offers available to all locals and visitors to the town who have downloaded it.

The new partnership means BID levy paying businesses will hopefully gain from advertising in the local area, customer insights and social media support.

A local guide will help visitors with tourism information, while an events section will showcase town activities.

There are already more than 40 businesses on board in Ulverston include The Farmers Arms, The Original Men’s Room, Haddow’s Stoves, Geek Gods, Pure, the Market Cafe and Lindows.

Justin Wales, BID project officer added: "This partnership gives Ulverston BID the opportunity to support increasing footfall and encouraging customers to shop local.

“The app gives businesses an all-in-one digital platform to advertise their offers
