A SOUTH Lakeland town will be full to the brim of Cumbria's finest artists and craft makers this Sunday (July 15).

Prom Art, traditionally held on Grange's Promenade, will take place in Bowness-on-Windermere on the Glebe in the tennis courts.

There will be more than than 40 art and craft stalls offering attendees the chance to buy fine art, prints, photography, sketches, cards, pottery, upcycled and recycled jewellery, turned and green woodwork and more.

Local band 'Fred & Me' will be playing on the nearby bandstand and the Town Crier will be out to make sure that passersby are alerted to the event.

Colin Jones, chair of Bowness & Windermere Forward said: "Together with our partners, Better Leisure, Prom Art and Geraud Markets, Bowness & Windermere Forward are delighted to bring this event to The Glebe.

"With fantastic Lake views Prom Art at the Glebe promises to be a fantastic addition to Bowness & Windermere's events calendar."

Included in this year's exhibitor list is artist Sandy Gardner, who grew up in Grange-over-Sands and has been attending Prom Art since its debut year in 2005.

Prom Art takes place from 10am-4pm this Sunday.
