A set of free walks around the Morecambe Bay area is being led by experts.

The walks are part of Morecambe Bay Partnership’s Festival of the Bay.

Those taking part will be able to discover important woodland sites, take in magnificent 360-degree views of the Lake District fells or even encounter islands and castles.

The leaders of the walks are Morecambe Bay Partnership Chief Executive Susannah Bleakley, who has led the Partnership for 16 years, before which she was an Exploration Geologist; John Murphy, who has been guiding walkers across the sands of Piel Island for 30 years, along with Will, the warden of South Walney Nature Reserve and Natural England’s Reserve Manager at Roudsea Nature Reserve.
