A SUNDAY Times article suggested we should be stocking up in case there is 'No Deal' with the European Union.

No deals have come and gone many times in our long history of survival. Charles de Gaulle didn't want us in, Michel Barnier keeps trying to lock the door.

Stand clear of the exit Mr. Barnier, the British lion is on the way out. Democracy is coming home.

There will be no 'leading us blindfold over a cliff'". Parliament voted to have a referendum, our part was acceptance of the result, now we're getting on with it.

But in case the Sunday Times is right, what should we be ' "stocking up" on?

I suggest Mars Bars and Baked Beans.

A Mars-a-day helps you work rest and play; Beans (Heinz of course) have long since been a staple part of our diet - Winston Churchill's breakfast in bed with cigar and wine was unthinkable without beans.

Mars and Beans verses No Deal - bring it on!'
