To mark the 200th anniversary of The Westmorland Gazette in 2018, we are publishing a photograph from our archives on our website every day this year.
Today's photograph shows the swirling flood waters of the River Kent in February 1966 when it approached 'danger levels' at Stramongate Bridge at Kendal.
