ONCE again the powers that be have been spending money on nonsensical alterations to our roads.

In their wisdom they have created what appears to be some sort of a crossing in Oxenholme.

It is in a dip, just after a bend in the road and where cars are parked both sides of the road, thus affecting visibility. I regularly take my granddaughter to Bolefoot playground and make a point of never crossing the road there as I deem it too unsafe.

It makes one think there must be too much money in the coffers to be spent so haphazardly. No doubt they will come up with some plausible reason for doing this.
