The A591 Windermere Road was partially blocked both ways this morning due to a two-vehicles accident near the Burneside turn off.
The two-vehicle incident, reported at 7.50am today, involved a Skoda Fabia and Renault Clio.
A woman in her 50s suffered a head injury and was taken to Royal Lancaster Infirmary. Her injuries are not believed to be serious.
