THE much anticipated Green Door Art Trail sees 63 artists taking part in 26 venues across South Cumbria and North Lancashire, taking place on Saturday and Sunday (September 29 & 30). The work on display includes ceramics, drawing, glass, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, textiles and wood, as well as smaller items such as jewellery and greetings cards. Printmaker Sue David, for example, will open her workspace at the Green Door Studio on Kendal's Market Place. She is inspired by the Arctic, the weather and shipping forecasts! Sue is creating a series of monotypes and collages which reference the landscapes experienced during many summers spent exploring the north of Greenland. Details: www.greendoor.org.uk.
