To mark the 200th anniversary of The Westmorland Gazette in 2018, we are publishing a photograph from our archives on our website every day this year.
Today's photograph shows bontanist and television star David Bellamy among the blanket weed in the River Kent at Gooseholme when he was in Kendal in 1984 to give children a guided tour of Kendal Museum.
