THE Environment Agency (EA) has issued a warning for heavy rainfall from midday tomorrow (Thursday) into Friday morning.
There is the potential for some Flood Alerts being issued for parts of Cumbria during this period. This means that flooding is possible to low lying land and roads.
There may also be a possibility of some Flood Warnings being issued, however the EA will monitor the forecasts closely for likely impacts and will issue warnings accordingly.
General advice
Be flood ready. It is important that you are prepared for flooding and the public is encouraged to take three simple steps:
- Sign up to the Flood Warning Service to receive free flood warnings.
- Know what to do when a flood warning is issued. We encourage you have a personal flood plan for you and your family
