A community bank operating in the Eden valley and South Lakeland is looking for an experienced volunteer chairperson.
The person appointed will help steer Eden and South Lakeland Credit Union, which has offices at Kendal, Penrith and Alston, through the next stages of its development.
The union's vision is to support local communities by providing an affordable range of financial services to all, including those who have difficulty accessing mainstream providers.
ESLCU is a not-for-profit organisation, which employs a full-time manager assisted by a team of volunteers in both Penrith and Kendal, with an outreach office in Alston.
