THE head teacher and deputy head of Kendal's Heron Hill Primary School were invited to an evening gala at the Houses of Parliament to celebrate excellent leadership.
Peter Hicks and Ian Murphy were guests at the event to mark the launch of this year's publication of The Parliamentary Review. Head teacher Mr Hicks was invited to write a piece outlining Heron Hill School's achievements.
He told the Gazette: "It is quite special that we were invited to contribute to this publication which is sent to tens of thousands of people across the country and a great honour to be invited to an evening at the Houses of Parliament; demonstrating that Heron Hill has been recognised as such a forward-thinking and great school."
