Appleby
PASSENGER figures on the service between Appleby and Penrith have improved sufficiently to secure its future until the end of the year, the clerk of Appleby Town Council, Caroline Dodgeon informed last night's meeting. A leaflet campaign to boost awareness and usage is planned by the Friends of Eden Valley Public Transport. Cumbria County Council is funding the leaflet.
