POLICE are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a road traffic collision which occured on September 30
The collision happened at approximately 10:30am on Wrynose Pass in Ambleside and it resulted in the death of a woman who was in her seventies.
Two motorcycles were involved in the collision, both described as 'Classic' motorbikes, and the incident occured when one of the motorcycles collided with the rear of another.
Initially, all parties appeared to be fine. But since then, a 73-year old woman who was a passenger on one of the motorcycles has died.
Police are currentyly trying to establish the details of the other motorcycle ride involved and also anyone who may have witnessed the collision.
