Westmorland and Lonsdale MP Tim Farron has debated this morning in Parliament for the need for a specialist eating disorder service for young people in Cumbria.

In parliament the South Lakes MP said that currently the specialist service only exists for adults. People under the age of 18 do get treatment from professionals, but it is not a specialist service.

Mr Farron said: "We know that there can be tragic consequences if the proper support isn't there, so it's absolutely critical that we put the pressure on health bosses to provide a specialist service for our young people."
