A Mountain Rescue Team were called out to Scafell Pike after a report of walkers getting stuck.
Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team received a report, yesterday afternoon (October 17), of two walkers who had got stuck on Broad Stand after looking for a route between Scafell and Scafell Pike.
The walkers were lowered off the crag using ropes and then walked back to Brackenclose, Seascale, where they were then taken back to their vehicle in Eskdale.

The rescue team say that this is one of a number of rescues they have done in the Broad stand area this year.
A spokesman from Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team said: "We can only emphasise there is no direct walking route between Scafell and Scafell Pike, and the simplest route is via Foxes Tarn."
