GRANGE-over-Sands butcher Higginsons is bringing a taste of Bonfire Night to its shop for UK Sausage Week (October 29 to November 4).

The Main Street shop will be selling seasonal-recipe, home-made sausages including Spiced Pumpkin, hot and spicy Vampire Slayer, and the popular Sticky Toffee Apple made with Cartmel sticky toffee sauce.

Husband and wife team Stuart and Pauline Higginson, who have run the shop since 1983, are also running an in-store competition to give customers chance to win a year's supply of sausages.

UK Sausage Week is designed to help promote the great British banger's reputation as a premium product with an economical price tag.
