A LOVELY afternoon of companionship, advice and a delicious afternoon tea was enjoyed by 70 elderly people from across the Windermere area last week.
The 'Elders' Afternoon Tea' event, hosted by locally based leadership development company Impact, was held at the Merewood Country House Hotel and is part of the group's strategy of combatting loneliness in the community.
Advice on cooking for one and also on IT was on offer and transport was provided for those who had mobility problems, and it proved a very enjoyable and beneficial afternoon for all concerned.
