B&M, the cut-price homewares chain, has set its sights on Kendal.
The company plans to move into the former Next fashion store at South Lakeland Retail Park, home to Morrisons and Matalan.
B&M is seeking planning consent for a new illuminated shop sign and vinyl window stickers from South Lakeland District Council.
