REGIONAL charity CancerCare has launched its Christmas Appeal, and the appeal has been backed by Stacy Woodhouse and her daughter Harper-Mae who were helped by the charity last Christmas after Stacy was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer.
She was thankful that there was a CancerCare centre near her Cumbrian home which meant she could be close to her daughter at a time of year when families are traditionally together, and is supporting this year's appeal in the hope that the charity can help more people in her position.
All donations raised will fund CancerCare’s free services which include counselling for children and adults and one-to-one therapies to help ease pain and the side effects of treatment as well as support groups and drop in sessions in the local community.
