A BUMPER £12million extra money has been allocated to Cumbria County Council for road repairs.
The funding, which was announced by the Government this week, is the highest amount allocated to any local authority in the North West.
Roads Minister Jesse Noman said the money had been awarded in an effort to keep roads in good condition in order to keep drivers and cyclists safe over the winter.
