GREAT news about the Honister Zipwire. It's just what we need - more synthetic adventure and more visitors.
I can only imagine that the charms of the Newlands Fells will be enhanced by the whoops of delight emanating from the participants and the whine of the pulleys - what was that old chestnut about 'quiet enjoyment'?
Never mind, I'm off to abseil the Taj Mahal and ride the log flume in the Grand Canyon.
